We’re Lola and Hollie. As a couple ourselves, we spent the last 16 years making the kind of videography company we’d have wanted to shoot our own wedding or event. Unlike most other Boston-based videography companies, we offer a boutique-style approach and work directly with our clients and do all editing in house. You get a team that takes the time to understand your vision before ever picking up a camera. We sit down with you to get an understanding of who you are and what you want from your project.
How We Got Here
While we now focus on wedding and event video and photography, we got our entrepreneurial start with a small t-shirt line in college. That experience shaped how we approach our work today: building something thoughtful, intentional, and created with the people behind it in mind. Lollie exists because of both of us. That’s where the name comes from: Lola + Hollie.
We focus on honest storytelling that feels like your day, not a performance of it. We capture the real moments as they happen, without interrupting or staging them. All while working quietly and behind the scenes to cause as little disruption as possible, whether it’s a wedding, a corporate event, or a personal milestone.
We want people to feel seen, not processed through a system. As we've grown, we focused on staying hands-on with every project while continuing to take on stories that matter to the people living them.

A Few Things We’re Asked
What do you mean by “boutique”?
For us, boutique means creating a more collaborative experience, from our first conversation to final delivery. To provide this kind of personal approach, we only take a limited number of projects within a time frame to make sure we’re providing the best service possible.
What types of projects do you enjoy most?
If you were asking what our most common project is, that would be weddings. But we’ve found that every project has a story behind it. Corporate events and nonprofits introduce us to the people and ideas that built an organization, while weddings, performances, and celebrations let us capture personal moments and passions differently.
Why is documentary-style filmmaking important?
Some of the best moments can't be planned. Documentary-style filmmaking allows us to capture real emotions and genuine interactions without constantly directing or interrupting what's happening. We stay observant and unobtrusive, so people can be themselves and not focus on the camera. The result is a film that feels natural and helps you relive the experience as it actually happened.
Do you edit everything yourselves?
Every photo gallery and every video we deliver is edited by us from start to finish. We don’t pass off editing because it's an important part of how we tell your story. Since we've been part of the process from day one, we know which moments matter most and can create a finished product that reflects your personality and the experience we shared with you.
What areas do you serve?
While based out of Boston, we are happy to travel both nationally and internationally. For projects outside our local area, travel costs are discussed upfront so there are no surprises.
Do you work with nonprofits?
We've had the opportunity to work with many nonprofit organizations and community groups, helping them share their mission. We understand that every organization has different goals and budgets, so we offer discounted rates for qualifying nonprofits whenever possible. Supporting organizations that make a positive impact is something we genuinely enjoy, and we're always happy to discuss how we can help.
